Information will be provided periodically and whenever available for the media and public to keep up to date on major incidents that occur throughout Garrett County whenever they happen.  We will also continue to fax news to the media also.  Please do not call for information, if it is important it will be posted and or faxed.  We will also provide the number for the agency that handled the incident for more information.

TIME OF RELEASE: 0345 hrs.

              Companies from Oakland VFD, Deer Park VFD, Gorman VFD, Terra Alta VFD, Southern Garrett Rescue Squad, and Air Cascade 3 (Deep Creek) were alerted for a structure fire at 705 N Street. Units arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the residence. Personnell were on the scene for approximately 45 minutes suppressing the fire. The Maryland State Fire Marshalls Office is investigating the fire at this time. Also on the scene was Allegheny Power. TIME OF RELEASE: 15:38 hrs.

                 At 15:38 hrs. personell from Southern Garrett Rescue Squad, and Deer Park VFD were alerted to the intersection of Bittinger Road at North Glade Road for an MVC. 1 patient was transported to Garrett Memorial Hospital bey Southern Resce. For any additioal information contact the Maryland State Police at the McHenry Barrack.

TIME OF RELEASE: 14:28 hrs.

                At 14:28 hrs. units from Deep Creek VFD, and Northern Garrett Rescue were alerted to the intersection of Garrett Highway, and Mosser Road for an MVC. 2 patients were transported to Garrett Memorial be Northern Garrett Rescue Squad.
