Garrett County Commissioners reschedule land management ordinance work session The land use management ordinance work session originally planned for Tuesday February 7 at 11:00 AM will be rescheduled for Tuesday February 14 at 1:30 PM. The public is welcome to attend and listen to the review of the draft ordinance. Changes made at the Garrett County Courthouse The Garrett County Commissioners and Sheriff Rob Corley have made the decision recently to make changes to improve building security at the Courthouse. The Facilities and Maintenance Department has renovated the 317 East Alder Street Entrance to the Building and the security check-point station has been moved to that entrance. As of December 1st, this will now be the primary entrance and exit point for the public. The alley side doors to the building are available as a handicap accessible entrance. The 4th Street entrance doors are no longer accessible to the public. When visiting the Courthouse, please use the Alder Street or Alley side entrances, whichever is appropriate.
