Yes, any household in Garrett County with an income-qualifying member can receive one free Chromebook per address to keep.
See income levels below. This program will operate while supplies last.
*Only one Chromebook per Maryland household based on USPS address. Income eligibility and residency must be verified. See details below.

How Do I Qualify?
One Chromebook may go to each household/address that has at least one full-time resident that meets the income guidelines of 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (updated summer 2023):

What Do I Need to Bring to the Event?
You must complete a simple application form - you can get a paper copy at the library or download one here to print and bring with you to one of the libraries.
You must also bring documents to:

Verify your identity (Drivers license or other government ID),

Confirm your place of residence (drivers license or utility bill with your name and current address)

Show your income qualifies your household for the program - bring one item from the list below (any household member can be used for the income qualification).The income documentation must not be expired:
- SNAP/EBT Card (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as Food Stamps)
- Proof of enrollment in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) with your internet provider
- Medicaid
- Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
- Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
- Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program
- Received a Federal Pell Grant in the current award year
- 2022 Federal Tax Return or Maryland State Tax Return
- Garrett Co. Community Action Energy Assistance
