Get Empowered! Job Hunter’s Expo at Local Libraries
 
The Ruth Enlow Library, along with the Western Maryland Consortium, the One-Stop Job Center, the Garrett County Health Department, and the Maryland State Library Resource Center are partnering to bring the “Get Empowered! Job Hunter’s Expo” to the Oakland and Grantsville libraries on Monday, September 19, 2016. The program in Oakland runs from 9:15 – 11:45 a.m. The Grantsville event runs from 1 – 4 p.m.
 
This event, which is free and open to the public, features speakers on the stresses of job loss and long-term unemployment, stress management techniques, and online web guides for job seekers. It also includes a workshop on resume creation and job interviewing tips. Registration is not required but appreciated, by calling the Garrett County Office of the Western Maryland Consortium at 301-334-8136.
