Maryland Department of Transportation Consolidated Transportation Program Meeting Scheduled

The Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP) is Maryland's six-year capital budget for transportation projects. The CTP includes capital projects that are generally new, expanded or significantly improved facility or service that may involve planning, environmental studies, design, right-of-way acquisition, construction or the purchase of essential equipment related to the facility or service. Every year Garrett County, along with other jurisdictions, submits a list of transportation priorities to the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) for possible inclusion in this plan.  In addition, MDOT conducts CTP Tours in each county and Baltimore City to discuss this plan and the County’s priorities.  The 2014 Garrett County CTP Tour visit will be held October 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s meeting room, 203 South Fourth Street, Room 209 - Frederick A. Thayer, III Courthouse - Oakland, Maryland 21550.  Interested citizens are invited to attend.
