Adoption of the Ten Year
Solid Waste Management Plan
 
2014-2024
 
            The Board of Garrett County Commissioners will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10:30 AM, in the County Commissioners meeting room 209, Courthouse Annex, Oakland, Maryland.  The Board will review and receive comment on the adoption of the Ten Year Solid Waste Management Plan for Garrett County. 
 
            The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) has reviewed and approved the new ten year plan and in accordance with MDE regulations Garrett County must conduct a public hearing prior to formally adopting the plan. State law requires counties to have a plan that has been formally adopted.
 
            Copies of the language contained in the new plan will be available for public review at the following locations:
 

Ruth Enlow Library located in Oakland, Maryland
Board of County Commissioner’s Office
Solid Waste and Recycling office located at the Garrett County Landfill at 3118 Oakland Sang Run Road, Oakland, Maryland.
