The Garrett County Health Department has received preliminary notification of two recent county deaths linked to COVID-19, most likely the Delta variant. These are the first deaths since April 2021.

Garrett County’s 7-day positivity percentage is 13.85% compared to the state’s 4.89%. The county is also currently third highest at 37.42 for 7-day case rate per 100,000.
