Last Updated on Jul 24, 2019 at 11:13am | Communications Office
The Garrett County Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing on a proposed update to the sign chapter within the Deep Creek Watershed Zoning Ordinance.  This hearing will be held in conjunction with their August monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Commissioners meeting room in the Garrett County Courthouse, 203 S Fourth St, Oakland MD, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

This chapter was updated to address concerns from a Supreme Court decision, LED and temporary signage, as well as sign height issues.  The draft document can be viewed on the Garrett County website at https://www.garrettcounty.org/planning-land-development/deep-creek-watershed-sign-chapter-review. A copy is also being placed at the Oakland Ruth Enlow Library and may be perused at citizen request. Citizens may also request to read the document at the Planning & Land Management office in Rm 208 at the Courthouse.

Any questions can be directed to Deborah Carpenter, Director, Garrett County Planning & Land Management at dcarpenter@garrettcounty.org or 301-334-1924.
