Michael E. Hough, Director of Garrett County’s Economic Development Department (GCED), has been listening to business owners and citizens in Garrett County speak to issues and opportunities that have an impact on their businesses and our County as a whole. The information gleaned from those interactions has been compiled, and common themes have been identified.
The GCED will be hosting three 90-minute sessions on Tuesday, October 23,2018 – 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – to discuss these common themes and obtain feedback from Garrett County’s businesses and citizens regarding the future of economic development in Garrett County. GCED will use the information obtained during these listening sessions to develop its economic development strategic initiatives.
The sessions are being sponsored in part by BB&T, Clear Mountain Bank, First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union, First United Bank & Trust, and Somerset Trust Company.
The sessions will take place in the downstairs dining room at Ace’s Run Restaurant and Pub. Light refreshments will be served.
