A public survey is being distributed by Towson University as part of a study for the Maryland Department of the Environment in association with the Maryland Shale Safe Drilling Initiative. The purpose is to gain insight into the local and visiting population’s opinions and characteristics as they relate to potential Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling in Garrett and Allegany County. The survey will remain open through the month of September. The survey can be taken online at the following URL http://resisurvey.resiusa.org/surveydata/ContingentValuation.htm.
