Recycling Sculpture Contest Saturday at Garrett College

Please join the Garrett County Department of Solid Waste & Recycling and the Garrett County Art’s Council on Saturday, November 10, 2012, for the 8th Annual “Rethink Recycling” Sculpture Contest from 11:00 a.m. –  2:00 p.m., at the Garrett College Gymnasium, McHenry, Maryland  21541.  Judging will begin at Noon.  Garrett County residents are encouraged to attend this free event.  Light fare and beverages will be served.
The event is made possible through a grant funded by the Garrett County Art’s Council; local businesses and non-profit organizations also sponsor and support this event.
Come out Saturday and support the Garrett County high school students competing for a place in the State Contest that will be held in Baltimore on Friday, November 16, 2012.
The “Rethink Recycling” Sculpture Competition celebrates America Recycles Day. After competing in the State Competition, many recycling sculptures will be on display at The Gallery Shop, in Oakland, Md., for a two-week show beginning Saturday, November 17 – Friday, December 1, 2012.
