Garrett County has been awarded $70,000 from the Chesapeake Bay Trust to conduct a stormwater assessment within the North Glade Run subwatershed in the Deep Creek Lake area.  This subwatershed contains all or part of subdivisions in areas along Glendale Rd, Beckman Peninsula Rd, Glen Acres Rd, Harvey Peninsula Rd, North Glade Rd and Sky Valley Dr.

 

The grant award will be used to hire an experienced firm to conduct the stormwater assessment.  The project is expected to commence in the spring and conclude by the end of the year.  Subwatershed residents can expect notification of the first public forum in March.  Any questions regarding this project should be directed to Deborah Carpenter at 301-334-1920 or dcarpenter@garrettcounty.org.
