A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in the Commissioners Public Meeting Room located at 203 South Fourth Street, Room 209 in Oakland, Maryland.
 
The Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County, Maryland will accept sealed proposals from quailifed firms for architectural/engineering (A/E) services to design and prepare contract plans and specifications for the construction of the Garrett County Emergency Operations Center in Oakland, Maryland.  The A/E services required are from the preliminary design phase through the construction phase of the project.  Based on funding, the construction of the facility will need to occur in at least 2 phases for a total single story square footage of approximately 12,768 square feet (152' x 84').
 
 
Energy Audit - County Buildings RFP #16-1101E

Project Description: The Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County, Maryland will accept sealed proposals from qualified enery auditors to conduct an American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Level II Energy Audit of two (2) County owned buildings: Roger P. Glotfelty Building located at 1916 Maryland Highway in Mt. Lake Park, Maryland and the Public Service Center Building located at 2008 Maryland Highway in Mt. Lake Park, Maryland.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in the Commissioners Public Meeting Room located at 203 South Fourth Street, Room 209 in Oakland, Maryland.
 
Project Description: The Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County, Maryland on behalf of Garrett Trails, Inc. will accept sealed bids for the resurfacing of approximately 7.5 miles of existing logging road from Frank Brenneman Road to New Germany Road.  The resurfacing work will include an 8-foot wide trail base.  The work in this contract includes but is not limited to the following: excavation, drainage and aggregate base course.  A bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid.  A performance/payment bond in the full bid amount will be required of the successful contractor. 
 
Bid documents and specifications may be obtained in person from the Garrett County Purchasing Department, 313 East Alder Street, Room 104, Oakland, Maryland 21550.  The cost of the bid specifications and drawings are $50.00 per set and is nonrefundable.  All out of town contractors must pre-pay for shipping and the cost of the plans.  Contractors shall supply either a FedEx or UPS account number for courier service.  Inquiries may be made by calling (301) 334-5003.
