Pre-Employment Testing For Deputy Sheriff and Correctional Officer

Pre-employment testing for Deputy Sheriff and Correctional Officer will take place on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 8:00a.m.

Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for Deputy Sheriff and/or Correctional Officer positions and are interested in participating in the pre-employment test must complete and submit a Garrett County employment application and bring to Garrett College 687 Mosser Road McHenry, MD 21541 GIEC building room 111. at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 along with the $25.00 testing fee.
A check or money order made payable to Garrett County Government will be required in order to take the pre-employment test on July 14, 2018. Candidates with a passing test score will also be interviewed immediately following the test.

Employment Applications may be obtained from the Human Resource Office at the Garrett County Courthouse Human Resources Office located at 203 S. Fourth Street, Room 206, Oakland, MD 21550 or they may be downloaded by clicking Garrett County employment application
 
Deputy Sheriff 
Starting Salary $42,807
Take Home Vehicle – restrictions/requirements apply
 
Correctional Officer
Starting Salary $35,090
